Nearby Beaches

Spanish Beach

All these beaches are a short distance away from the coast road (N-322) recently nearly all the nearby beaches have beach bars created that look like temporary structures actually on the beach these are open during busy times these normally have a few tables, chairs and parasols and have a fairly limited range of drinks and snacks available.

There has been a major project along this section of the coast to preserve the sand dunes alongside the shoreline which means they have been fenced off to allow the undergrowth to grow undisturbed. They also have provided wooden walkways to allow access to the beach at regular intervals. There are often chemical portaloo’s stationed strategically near beaches but they are not too well maintained so beware! Also at most beaches there are taps to wash sand off which is an art in itself.

The sea is often warmer than the pool especially later in the year.

Normally there is no charge to park at the beach areas the exception to this is Guadamar where they have recently in 2013 introduced parking bays these are coloured blue and you now have to pay to park there are machines that accept coins and the charges are quite reasonable. Take care not to park alongside any curbs that are painted yellow or across driveways as the police are vigilant and a fine or worse can be expected.

Campomar

Campomar Beach BarCampomar is the nearest beach to the villa and has a very wide expanse of sandy beach. To get to this beach drive down the CV-895 to the coast road N-322, there is a roundabout over the underpass on the N-322 take the third turning towards the N-322 going north back towards Alicante. Before you reach the N-322 there is a right turning that takes you onto the Campomar urbanisation follow the road keeping to the right which eventually brings you down to a dead end near by to the beach, there is a very large Hotel complex nearby. Park as near to the end as is possible and the very end to the right of the road is a wooden walkway that leads directly on to the beach.

This beach doesn’t have any beachside restaurants’ but there are two beach bars which serve drinks and snacks. The sea is very pleasant here with a very sandy beach and there are lifeguards at busy times.

It is possible to hire sunbed’s and parasol’s here also there are large tent like structures with mattresses that seen to be available to hire but unfortunately we have no details of costs.
